Interns
Aeila Chelsey, Undergraduate Researcher, INBRE Scholar

Aeila is a current INBRE summer scholar, working on GUI-based analyses (BD SeqGeq, BD Cellismo) of single-cell datasets generated in the lab. Aeila is a senior undergraduate biotechnology student at UD with an interest in molecular biology and biopharmaceuticals. She graduated from Delaware Technical Community College as a dual biotechnology and biological science major before transferring to UD. While at DTCC, she participated in independent cell culture research, working with HEK293 cells and teaching other interns the basics of cell culture. Now at UD, she continues to perform research under the guidance of Dr. Ghosh. In her free time, she reads, writes, and collects music. Additionally, Aeila likes to learn about insects and microbes and stay informed about current events in the biosciences sphere.
